MOTs
Cars over three years old normally need an MOT each year. We arrange the test, explain any failures or advisories and, if you want us to, carry out the repairs and retest without sending you elsewhere.
What's checked in an MOT
The MOT covers the key safety and emissions items on your car, including:
- Brakes, tyres and wheels
- Steering and suspension
- Lights, wipers and visibility
- Seatbelts and body condition
- Exhaust and emissions
Understanding the result
If the car fails or comes back with advisories, we will explain which items need doing now and which can wait. You will get a price before we carry out any repair.
An MOT and service can be booked together if both are due.
Due soon?
You can have the test done up to a month, minus one day, before the current MOT expires and keep the same renewal date. If you are unsure when it is due, we can check.
